I went shopping!

November 22, 2008

Kinokuniya was having a 20% storewide sale. I love these so much. When I walk into a bookshop or library, I feel happy. True to my nerd DNA. I had a few titles on my want-to-read list. The World According to Garp was from Borders with a 30% discount coupon I printed out. I’ve started on Hons and Rebels already and the first chapter had me laughing ot loud a few times already. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds, however, gonna read it precious chapter by precious chapter at a time. A gem of a book calls for rationing.

My highlighters started to run out as I was revising. I have this strict colour code for case names (orange), references to statutes (blue), fundamental points (pink) and notes (yellow).

True to my new found love for clutch bags, I just added to the modest collection a stunning runched bronze coloured one for a great price. It came with a really awful zipper charm. I saw to that immediately with my round-nose pliers.

Transition

August 26, 2008

Since I’ve started school, my sleeping pattern has warped. I now sleep at close to 3am and wake up at an equally ungodly hour.

School life is a welcome change. It allows time and space for creativity to flourish, for interests to be pursued, for reading to be done at a more leisurely pace, for the chance to put my feet up with the day’s papers and a cuppa in the morning. ooooohhhh….total paradise compared to jumping out of bed after 5 snoozes, wash, change, smudge stuff on face, shovel down the food, coffee down in one swift gulp, hustle to the MRT station, fling self onto train, hop off at Raffles Place (though I don’t elbow my way out of the train in order to beat fellow passengers onto the escalator up), march through the underpass and up up up into the office, walk into my room, sit self down, drink water, peer into inbox and henceforth the day(s) unfolded.

School life has allowed me the time luxury of this blog!
